Trying to icon that rooftop kissing scene was a bitch. I kind of gave up after the fifth icon. bleh. I hope the next kissing scene is in a nice bright room with a solid colored backdrop. Who cares if bright light is not romantic. :)

I iconed the whole dang episode. So much stuff happened I couldn't resist. And I still have a few quote icons I want to make. I'll save those for the next batch though. I did icon what I thought was one of the best quotes of the episode. By Josef of course. He always gets the best lines. :)

Please let me know if I spelt anything incorrectly. I messed around with color quite a bit in some of these icons. Icon #73 is my personal favorite.

A blending tutorial featuring Mick St. John. I'm kind of in love with every detail of Alex O'Loughlin's face, from his round forehead to his cleft chin and everything in between. ;)

This tutorial was made using Photoshop CS2. We're going to blend again, using the "add layer mask" tool. I'm also going to show you how to use a "gradient map" to change the color of a screencap. This blending tutorial is a little easier than my last one.

Not a huge entry this time. I'll have some Gerard Butler icons next time. I'm waiting for an icontest to end before I can post them.

So, I've been practicing my blending skills again with that first MickBeth banner. What do you think? It's made with screencaps from "The Mortal Cure" and a promo photo. The Mortal Cure caps are from the scene in the hallway. Mick's reaction struck me as very paternal. He would forgive Beth anything, which is a very parental thing to do. So yeah, he sees her in a very complex way and really, he's so much older, wiser and more experienced than she is. So he's very patient with her.

The caption I just kind of made up myself. The small text is from "Kite" by U2. (Yes, I use a lot of U2 lyrics in my graphics)

The other banner is the flip side of the coin. Sexy and amusing. We can all deal with this, right? They are not related, so it's ok, calm down. ;)

If you like Moonlight then you'll like this entry. I have bunches of icons with matching headers and friends only banners and some wallpapers. Mostly Mick and Beth and one FO that is Mick and Leni. Plus I have a few random Moonlight icons and one Alex icon.

I have an idea for a Coraline wallpaper even thought she is not my fav. But it will be true to her nature, so we'll see how many people like that. And I also plan on doing a Josef wallpaper next time.

Oh yeah, I never know what to put on these things as far as text so if you want something different like your lj name or a poem or something just to make it more personal, let me and I'll fix it up for you.

Weird, I don't have any stock photography icons this time around. I went crazy making Mooonlight icons though.

I spent quite a bit of time on the James Marsters wallpaper. It's actually the first wallpaper I've ever made. And I made a much simpler James wallpaper with some pretty colors. The first wallpaper was made for my monitor which is a widescreen. The second wallpaper is your regular size and if you need it smaller just let me know what size.

I also made some stock photography banners. If you want text added or changed let me know.

Also I've updated my Spike icons for btvsicons100. I've added 20 more icons to my icon table. Themes added: ache, blue, fight, find me, heaven, hero, no text, not now, oops, panic, run, sad, sleep, stake, sweet. Artist's Choice: New 15 - 19.

Let me tell you, those themes are difficult. So, I um, come up with some pretty strange ideas for some of them. I'm trying to get them done first because gah!

I have a 10 Autumn/Fall themed stock photo icons. The last two stock icons are a blend of two images. It's a technique I am experimenting with that has really been perfected by another icon maker who does these types of blends beautifully. And as soon as I remember her name I will add it to this entry because she really deserves credit for the idea and plus you really should go look at her icons. They are fantastic.

James Marsters Icons
I made some icons from those lovely new photos of James Marsters that were taken for his new album. I have no idea if Like a Waterfall is the title to one of James' songs or not. I'm guessing it probably is though. It is a song and I heard it in Atlanta I just forgot. My point is, I would have liked to use the lyrics on the icons, but since I have no idea what the lyrics are, and since I suck at coming up with text to put on icons, I decided to use words from this beautiful, yet sad and tragic, poem by Henry Kendall called "The Waterfall". I've used the words completely out of context, so you'll see they have a different meaning when used on the icons and are much cheerier. It all worked out somehow. I don't normally post poems, but I've posted this one at the bottom of the entry if you want to read it.

The first James icon that says "Everywhere you go you shout it.....etc." are lyrics to a U2 song called "Original of the Species". I've posted the lyrics in the sidebar of my personal journal if you want to read them. Bono is The Bard! :)

The last three James icons are not from the "LaW" photos. The third from last icon is from a photo taken by oanimation at Dragon*Con and the last two are from "Civilized Man".
